Sarah Kaylyn arrived on Monday at 714AM. She is 8lbs/7 ounces and 20 inches long and beautiful!!! We are so thankful for our baby girl. Brandon has done really good with her and absolutely loves her. We came home on Thursday and we are just trying to get into some kind of routine, but I know that will take a while. I had a c-section and I am recovering well. I will post some pics very soon!

Brandon loves to help me cook!! Anytime, I am cooking he wants to help and he so proud to be my helper. Hopefully, he will be a better cook than I am.

Brandon's favorite thing this summer was SWIMMING! He loves the water and did really good trying to swim. He also took 6 weeks of swimming lessons at the Y and loved it.

This weekend Michael played in a softball tournament in Montgomery, so we got to stay in the hotel and swim at their pool. It was a hot, but relaxing weekend!

My little baby is growing up, I cannot believe how big he is getting. I feel like he changes everyday and he is so smart! It is amazing what they know at this age. He definitely pays attention to EVERYTHING you say. He is very excited about baby Sarah and I just know he will be such a great big brother. I went to the doctor on Wednesday and I am not dilated or anything, Sarah is very content for now. She will be here on October 19, so we only have 18 days! This pregnancy has flown by, keep us in your prayers for a safe and healthy delivery!

27 WEEKS

Me and Brandon at 27 Weeks. I have really grown and I feel like I am growing more and more each day. It is funny how you wonder how you'll get any BIGGER, but you know how much more you have to stretch by the end. I have been measuring right on time with her, so that means we have 11 weeks left. The plan is to do the c-section one week before my due date. We are very excited and can't wait to meet her!

Baby Update

I went to the doctor last week and baby simonetti is growing and measuring right on time for October 25th. I did fail my 1 hour glucose test but then passed my 3 hour! That glucose is horrible to drink and makes you feel like crap, but I am so happy and thankful it turned out ok. I will now start going to the doctor every two weeks! Time is really flying by so we are trying to get the baby's room ready. The baby's name will probably be..... Sarah Kaylyn Simonetti! Doesn't that sound cute. She is very active and is definitely growing like a weed! Brandon is getting more and more excited and asks every time I go to the doctor if she is coming out today. He is so cute and I love listening to everything he says. I have some pictures I need to post so hopefully those will get up soon, I will also try to post one of the baby's ultrasound pictures. I hope everyone is having a great summer!

Brandon and Michael were in Michael's cousin's wedding in Louisiana in May. Brandon did a great job walking down the isle with the flower girl. I was not sure he would do it but he did great and looked so handsome in his tuxedo. Michael was one of the groomsmen and looked so handsome too, I think Brandon just liked looking just like his daddy.

I cannot believe I am over half way through this pregnancy! I am feeling good and definitely starting to grow faster now. Baby girl is very active and I just love feeling her move around, it is so amazing. I go to the doctor next week for my 22 week visit. Finally a picture at last... especially for my sweet brother because I have not seen him since March. He lives in New york and worked in Italy/Paris for a month in May.. We definitely miss him and I know he misses being here, but he will definitely be here before the baby comes in October. So get ready Brent I will NEED some help. We love you Uncle Brent!!

We found out today that Brandon will be having a baby sister!! We are very excited! My due date is still Oct. 25th and we are planning on doing another c-section about a week earlier. We got lots of pictures of the baby today and can see head, feet and hands, and she was moving all over the place. Brandon is excited and talks about the baby all the time. So far, we do not have a name so hopefully we will soon. I will update more soon and put pictures up!

Well, today I am 17 weeks pregnant and I cannot believe how fast it is going by (right now at least) We are going back to the doctor on May 27 to find out if its a boy or girl!! I cannot wait so that we can start planning and getting the baby room ready. Brandon is adjusting well right now and asks a lot of questions. He is always wanting to hug and kiss my belly and he likes to know what the baby is doing. My belly is starting to poke out now and I am looking pregnant so I will post some pics soon! I know I am a little behind on this post, but these are the pictures from Brandon's 3rd birthday party. We had his party at the park and had so much fun. going to be a BIG BROTHER!!! SUPRISE! I cannot believe Brandon is going to have a brother or sister. We are very excited that we will be adding a new addition to our family!!! I am 8 weeks right now and our due date is October 25th! So far, I have some nausea. Drinks seem to make me nauseated the most so for now I am sticking with apple juice and water, sounds delicious doesn't it, but it is better than throwing up. I go back to the doctor on March 31 so I will post more details soon. Hopefully we will find out if its a boy or girl in april/may, we definitely do not care either way we just want a fat healthy baby!

Brandon is turning 3 next friday, on march 20th and we will have his party on saturday! I am very excited, I love planning his party and getting everything ready for his special day. We are so blessed to have such a sweet precious boy We just love him more than anything in the world and I thank God every day that I am his mommy. There is nothing in the world better. Right now he loves playing with all kinds of animals, he has a bucket full that go in the bathtub every night! He loves trains and trucks and playing outside. We are going to get him a swing set for his birthday this year so hopefully he will love playing on that. We go to the doctor for his 3 year checkup so I can't wait to see how tall he is and how much he weighs. I will post pics next week of his party and I hope every one has a great week!!

Michael's brother Vic and his wife Kristen had their first baby boy on Saturday March 7th! He weighed 7 lbs 12 ounces and is 20 1/2 inches long. He is so perfect and precious and Brandon LOVESSSSSS his baby cousin. He is constantly asking about him and when we are around him he has to be holding him. I was so proud of the way Brandon just took to Zachary and loved him at first sight!!! We love having our first nephew too. He will definitely be spoiled in this family! I have to tell the story of how she went into labor! Michael, me and Brandon and kristen and vic went to eat at Sumo's on friday night. We were just about finished eating when Kristen stood up and said "Leslie, something just gushed out!" I said "huh" and We ran to the bathroom with brandon holding on to one arm and Kristen on the other. We went into the bathroom but were still unsure of what happened all of a sudden Kristen's water broke in the bathroom and she was soaked. We still had to walk out of the bathroom with many people seeing what was going on, as we walked out we had people cheering for her and vic!! It was so funny, she was so calm through the whole thing and I was so proud of her and Vic. So, off to the hospital we headed and zachary was born at 740 in the morning on Saturday. I know she will not forget this experience and neither will we, it was definitely exciting!!

Anyways, we had a great time playing in the snow, but after Brandon got wet and cold he was ready to go in for the day.. It was definitely COLD outside but we enjoyed it because we probably won't see that much snow for a while.

We had a great valentines day. Brandon had his party at school on friday and we made goodie bags for all the kids, and made cupcakes for us to enjoy. Brandon loved licking the spoon and his fingersas he stirred. He was a great helper!! Today we took him to the lake to fish and he loved playing with the fish and the worms, he is definitely all BOY!

These pictures were from Christmas day. Michael's dad had open heart surgery(triple bypass) two weeks before christmas, it was very unexpected but he has recovered well. We are very greatful that he is doing much better! Brandon was not too happy about taking pictures as you can see, we had a long day and he was very tired. Kristen and Vic will be having their first baby in about 8 weeks and we are all very excited. We are having their baby shower next weekend so I will try to post pics as soon as I can. Michael's grandmother and aunt from Louisiana will be staying with us and I know Brandon will enjoy them here! I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Friday night Brandon spent the night with Grammie and Papa (michaels mom and dad). This was his first night away from us ( I know he is almost 3), but he did great. At bedtime Grammie said he asked for us and pouted for a little bit but then he was fine. Me and michael had a good time together friday night and slept in but we sure missed him. Merry Christmas! I hope everyone had a great Christmas this year. We had a wonderful Christmas, I cannot believe it is already come and gone. Brandon has been in underwear since Sunday!! I was off on Mon and tues and thought it would be a good time to truly start the potty training. He has been interested for a long time but now I think he's got it. He went to school on Wed in underwear and did not have ANY accidents and only 1 today. He is pooping in the potty too! I cannot believe it and we are just so proud of him..... It is funny what you get excited about after you have kids, it is truly ALL about them. When we were out and about on monday I think we stopped at every public restroom MORE THAN ONCE. Needless, to say I was worn out. I have come to realize that public restrooms need commodes for smaller hiney's and stools for the sink to wash their hands!!! Well, we are so proud of Brandon and he has been getting suprise after surprise this week!!!

He is so funny because I couldn't even tell you how many he has but when one is missing he comes to me and says Mommy I can't find my animal and can tell me exactly which one is gone and we have to find it right then. Anyways, he absolutely loved feeding all the animals at the pumpkin patch!

On Saturday Katie Thompson threw me a surprise house warming party with my family and friends!! It was so much fun and I feel so greatful to have the friends and family that I have. After the party we all came back to our house, so they could see it. We got gift cards to Lowe's, target, and hobby lobby plus other gifts. I am so excited and can't wait to buy things to decorate the house!!!!! Thank you Katie for getting the party together!!! I love you!

My POOR baby fell at daycare on thursday and scraped in nose and upper lip while they were on the playground. He needed lots of hugs and kisses when I picked him up and told me all about what happened. For him to feel better we went out to the playground and spanked the ground where he fell!! He smiled and hugged me and said we could go home then!!! I hope his nose feels better soon because right now he will not let me touch it!

Well it has taken a couple of weeks for us to get settled into the new house, but we are enjoying it soooo much! It is very quiet around our house, Brandon loves to swing on the tree swing and sit and watch the squirrels and birds. He is getting so big and is exactly 2 1/2 this month. I wish I could slow down time because the days go by so fast. He is definitely a talker and runs all over the place. Brandon is adjusting to the new house and now has a "big boy bed." I was off Thursday and Friday this week, along with the weekend and we have enjoyed every minute of it! We took Brandon to visionland and to a movie for the first time! We have been working with Brandon on getting himself dressed and it definitely can be comical, who knew it took this much practice and work to put your clothes on! He is so funny and tries hard but we definitely give in and help him when he starts to get frustrated. Brandon is doing good with potty training but it is a work in progress for sure. He has not learned to tell us when he needs to go he just will go when you put him on the potty. We are not forcing him with it, we just are encouraging it when we can tell he needs to go. I am so proud of him and in the last week he has poo pooed two times on the potty and we had to call the WHOLE family to let them know too. We love our precious boy!!!

Our day was so much fun! I did have to work for a couple of hours this morning but then we went to the park for an afternoon of fun! We took barbecue sandwiches and had a picnic while Brandon ran around with everyone. He is getting so big and is such a sweet little thing. Last night was the benefit for my dad and we had so much fun! Fox 6 news was there, you can go to myfox6al.com and see the interview they did. He received the Quality of Life award and spoke a couple of times! We love you dad and are so proud of you! This smile brightens my day everyday!!!

Brandon loves the water!! He was washing his dishes while I washed ours! He is such a big boy now! The past two weeks Brandon has not felt like himself. Thank goodness, he seems more like himself the past two days. He seems to have a hard time when there is a change in his routine. At school, he is now drinking out of a cup and not a sippy cup. So, we have been doing the same at home. His whole class will be moving to the two year old room in June and they cannot have a sippy cup in there, so they were trying to introduce it now. Also, ALL FOUR of his molars have started coming in. OUCH! We had a hard time with one year old molars too. We also are still trying to potty train, so I guess he has been a little frustrated! He is starting to adjust well though, but next time I don't think we will try so many things at once! I am glad my baby is feeling better..

Benefit for my DAD

I wanted to let everyone know about a benefit that is being held on May 3 (Saturday) for my dad, Randy Smith. As most of you know he was a birmingham police officer for 7 years and in 1995 was shot and injured on the job. He had a traumatic brain injury and a long recovery but is definitely a miracle today. He grew up in Homewood, AL and played football at Homewood high school. The benefit will begin Saturday morning with a 5K walk and carnival afterwards and then later in the day there will be a parade and ceremony with a dinner following. We are very excited for him and he is also. I know there are suppose to be advertisements on tv, in the newspaper and on the radio. I am so happy that my dad is being honored on this day. We all love him very much and are thankful he is here with us today. I am currently a Physical therapist assistant working at Spain Rehabilitation Center at UAB. My dad was a patient here and I treat patients that are just like he was 13 years ago. It definitely can be challenging at times, but I hope I can help my patients the way his therapist helped him. We have begun to potty train Brandon!!! He is so funny, when he needs to go he says "Mommy, poo poo potty, poo poo potty!" and we run to the bathroom for him to tee tee!! Yes, he thinks that's what it is called when you go to the bathroom! I guess because we are always telling him after a BM you need to poo poo in the potty. They are tooooo smart.

We went to the doctor for Brandon's two year old checkup and he is growing like a weed. He is 35 inches tall and weighs 28 lbs. He did not have to get shots this time!!! I was so glad and he was too. He does fine throughout his checkup now, except for when they look in his ears, he hates that. He had to get tubes when he was 9 months old and still had ear infections after that, so I guess his ears are sensitive. Me and Michael both had a lot of ear trouble when we were little, and I can still remember how painful it was at times. Hopefully, his ears will continue to get better as he gets older. We thank God for our sweet, healthy little boy. I am planning on going to Botanical Gardens next weekend for spring pics, so I will post them later.

Brandon is turning two this thursday, March 20. It does not seem like it was two years ago when we had him. He is such a blessing to our family and every day I am thankful for him. We had his birthday party at the park on Saturday and we all had a great time. Thank you everyone for being there to celebrate this special day with us!!! We love yall so much! Daddy and Brandon just a playing....I cannot believe how big Brandon is getting. He will be two in 10 days! We are having his party this weekend so I am sure I will have lots of pics. He is talking so much and amazes me everyday of how much he knows. He was so good on our trip this weekend, even though he was totally off his schedule. Fun at the aquarium in New Orleans!!

We went to Louisiana this weekend and had so much fun. Some of Michaels family lives there and we absolutely love spending time with them. Today is Michael's birthday!! I cannot believe that we are 27, it does not seem like we should be this close to 30!! Michael is such a wonderful husband and dad. I am so happy with our family and I appreciate so much what he does for us. I thank God everyday for the joy he has given our family, and I am truly a blessed person to have Michael and Brandon in my life. I could never ask for anything more. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETHEART!!

Me and Brandon have been home since Tuesday, because he started with a fever and the daycare called me at work. We went to the doctor that afternoon and he has croup and a double ear infection.. My poor baby does not feel good and ran a temp of 104 last night. He got a shot on Tuesday and he is on antibiotics, so hopefully this will go away soon. Please pray for Brandon that he feels better soon. I hope everyone has a good week

This is my baby one year ago, I cannot believe how much he has grown!! He will be 2 years old in two months, time just goes by too fast.

I never imagined the love that you could have for your child, but it is definitely a love that is unconditional! Brandon is talking so much and I think he will take after me and talk all the time, so we better get ready. He is so sweet and has started saying I dove du, for I love you and he gives lots of kisses. Thank you Lord for the best gift I have ever received.

I absolutely love Brandon's daycare. He has wonderful teachers and they are great with the kids. We had his party one afternoon and they had made all the kids a shirt with their handprints and footprints that made a reindeer. They all looked so cute!

Hey everybody! I just wanted to add some more pics from Thanksgiving and the weekend after. We got our Christmas decorations up this past weekend and it was comical with a 20 month old. Brandon was soooo excited he was running around the house like crazy. Everytime I would get the deer all in one piece Brandon would run and knock it down. Then when me and michael were trying to decorate the tree, Brandon was getting all wrapped up in the lights and throwing his toys in the tree, I guess those were his ornaments! Ha Ha! He is saying all kinds of things now and is fascinated with airplanes and dogs, but the funniest thing he is doing now is when he needs or wants something, he says "Help mommy, Help" It is the cutest thing ever!

I have to say I have so much to be thankful for in my life. I have the best husband in the world, and a son that I love more than anything. Brandon just turned 20 months old and I cannot believe how much he changes everyday. It's amazing to see how much they remind you of yourself ( a little scary at times). He is just too smart. I also have my mom, dad, brother and sister that are precious to me. I love them very much. I have the best mother and father-in-law and brother and sister-in-law too. The thing that makes me the happiest is too see how much everybody loves Brandon and how much time everybody wants with him, from a mother's perspective.... there is nothing better.
